About
Fahad Siddiqui works on the technical half of Amanah’s fintech and digital-asset reviews, sitting between the product teams building a structure and the scholars ruling on it.
He was VP of international business at Dubai Islamic Bank and held senior roles at Scotiabank in Canada and Diebold Nixdorf in North America. He has delivered Shariah-compliant core banking, branch transformation, CRM, ERP and payment-switch programmes across North America, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific, and co-founded the TAIF Digital Institute for Islamic Finance.
His job is to make sure the scholars are ruling on what the system actually does. A whitepaper describes an intention; the contracts, the custody arrangement and the flows describe the product.
That translation is where most digital-asset reviews succeed or fail. A ruling based on the marketing is not a ruling on the product.
How Fahad works
- Reads the system, not the pitch. Flows, custody and contracts first; the deck afterwards.
- Translates both ways. Technical reality to the bench, and the bench’s conditions back to an engineering backlog.
- Keeps pace with the build. Reviews sized to a two-week sprint, because that is the cycle the product runs on.
